HEPA Filtration

HEPA filtration is specified when exceptionally high levels of particulate removal are required, such as in environments affected by wildfire smoke, urban pollution, allergens, or sensitive occupant health needs. HEPA filters are capable of capturing very fine particles, including a high percentage of PM2.5 and smaller, but they also introduce significantly higher airflow resistance than standard ventilation filters.

Because of this pressure drop, HEPA filtration is not appropriate for every ventilation system or application. It is typically used in dedicated filtration modules, recirculation units, or carefully designed add-on configurations where airflow, fan capacity, and system balance have been properly considered.
